Established in 1993, Cutting Edge Lawn Care provides landscape and lawn care throughout the Texas cities of Austin, Cedar Park, Round Rock and Pflugerville. The company’s services include lawn mowing and trimming, landscape design and maintenance, sprinkler system maintenance and repair, weeding flowerbeds, trimming shrubs and lawn fertilization. We’re able to track multiple assets and repair histories with this awesome solution. With almost 300 assets and over 200 inventory items, keeping up with them was almost impossible before Asset Panda. We were using Microsoft Access beforehand, and during the transition to Asset Panda, we found items, not in the database and things that should have been disposed of.
Asset Panda enables us to track and manage our lawn maintenance equipment, which helps prevent loss and theft. We also use the platform to track and manage assignments, service schedules and service histories for our equipment; along with parts inventory and parts assignment. With Asset Panda, we don't have to waste time hunting down equipment; the app gives us a quick and accurate way to find out where an item is, who has it and when it will be ready, and we can access the information from our smartphones anytime. Asset Panda gives us an easier, more accurate way to track and manage maintenance costs, inventory counts and history, so we can make better financial decisions. We’re still early in adopting the platform, but we already see a big improvement in our asset movements and productivity in our repair shop.
So far, our experience has been mostly uneventful. We’re just learning all of the possible ways to utilize the system. This took a little time, but it was well worth it. We’re able to use inventory items in connection with assets to keep inventory counts accurate. We use both mobile and web, but mostly the mobile app for asset movement and maintenance. So far, we’ve only called customer service a few times, but the staff is very helpful and always quick with a fix or solution.
