Unity Hospice provides top-notch end-of-life care by managing pain and other symptoms, and by meeting the social, emotional, and spiritual needs of each patient and their family. At Unity Hospice we use thousands of pieces of medical equipment to assist our patients and their every need. It’s of utmost importance to ensure that the equipment we provide to our patients is properly maintained and tracked effectively.

We have 4 warehouses that service the states of Illinois, Missouri, and Indiana. Our equipment is moved from warehouse to warehouse, and then from warehouse to patients in private homes and nursing facilities. Before we started using Asset Panda about 10 months ago, 2 of our 4 warehouses were using spreadsheets to track our assets. One warehouse was using pen and paper. And another was faxing paper records to our corporate office, which then had to enter it into to some type of Unix system. This was simply not an effective way to track the equipment that our staff and our patients rely on every day, especially in this very mobile environment.

Now, thanks to Asset Panda, we are able to keep up with all of our equipment as it moves from place to place. We know where our equipment is at any given time, and we no longer have equipment missing. There are so many useful features in Asset Panda that have made tracking assets so much easier. The iPhone app has proven to be very useful, especially as we have so much equipment constantly on the go and we can track and monitor assets in the field. The ability to pull reports anytime and from anywhere that have up-to-date data really helps us stay on top of things. The software is easy to use and can be configured to do so many things. It’s like the Swiss Army Knife of asset tracking!

 Our interaction with the customer service support has been great. They are very responsive to our needs in using the software and have worked right along with us to resolve any problems we have had.
