The Jockey Club is the largest commercial group in British horseracing. With a 263-year heritage at the heart of British racing, The Jockey Club focuses its resources, influence and assets on ensuring the sport remains the best in the world, as its leading investor and innovator.

The Jockey Club owns 15 leading racecourses as well as Jockey Club Estates, its property and land management arm. With assets being used across multiple locations among a permanent staff of over 500, it’s imperative that we have accurate knowledge of what we have and where it is at any time.

We used to use a traditional spreadsheet to track our assets but realized that it wasn’t being kept up to date and simply was not dynamic enough for our needs. After identifying that we needed to find an asset tracking and management platform that was flexible, customizable, and could change as we needed it to change, we found Asset Panda. We’ve been using Asset Panda for about 2 years. We initially we started using the desktop version just to track mobile phones. After seeing all that the platform can do, we are now working on developing a new database, which is in production, for a sponsorship initiative. The possibilities with Asset Panda are limitless.

Asset Panda is working as we need it to work for us. The software has also changed the way we work. Having the ability to assign users to the platform helps us all be more responsible and informed about our assets and how we are managing them. Asset Panda is centrally managed, which means anyone can find the data they need in one location. No more outdated and incorrect spreadsheets. We can pull detailed, accurate reports anytime, from anywhere, and they are in real time with the most up-to-date data.
