Tulsa County Government Eliminates Software Maintenance Lapses with Asset Panda

Tulsa County Government manages the most densely populated county in the state of Oklahoma, with more than 646,000 residents. The county includes the cities of Bixby, Broken Arrow, Collinsville, Glenpool, Jenks, Owasso, Sand Springs, Sapulpa, and Tulsa.

Our county includes Oklahoma's second-largest city, Tulsa, where the aviation, finance, energy, computer, and electronics industries are big contributors to the economy and are supported by several institutes of higher learning.

We're a local county government with 1,500 employees, 100 of them in my division. We use Asset Panda to track our software assets, which are scattered throughout multiple locations, buildings, cities, etc. We weren't using any asset tracking system before Asset Panda, so we could not track anything or collect any data.

We've found several of the app's features helpful for our business, like data import, the ability to track assets over multiple locations, unlimited custom fields, unlimited actions, customized notifications, and inventory management. We're also using the Microsoft Active Directory integration, which provides Tulsa County Government with a centralized location for network administration and security.

With Asset Panda, we're now able to get automated reports that let us know when software assets are nearing expiration and need to be renewed. This has saved Tulsa County from having software maintenance lapse on multiple occasions. We can also reclaim unused licenses, whereas we previously would have purchased more.

At the moment, we're only utilizing the web app for desktop computers, and it's very easy to use and understand. In the future, though, I could see us using the mobile app, as well. We haven't had to engage customer support yet. In total, Asset Panda currently saves us about an hour a day. I'd give the app a 10.
