What information can you import from Hexnode?
The integration transfers data in one direction: Hexnode → Asset Panda Pro. Each external entity is mapped separately.

How the Hexnode integration works

Connect your Hexnode account
In Asset Panda Pro, open Settings > Account Management, manage Integrations, and add Hexnode. Enter the Hexnode Portal URL and API key, then test and save the connection.

Map the data you need
Choose an external entity and destination collection. Match a Hexnode unique identifier to a unique Asset Panda Pro field, map additional fields, and add a filter if needed.

Run or schedule imports
Create an automation using Hexnode. Run it manually with Run now, or define a schedule for ongoing updates.

Review the results
Use Automation Logs to check sync status, the number of records processed, and any errors.

Requirements
- Administrator access to Asset Panda Pro and the Integration Store.
- Your Hexnode Portal URL and API key or token.
- Hexnode permissions to access the entities you plan to import.
- A destination Asset Panda Pro collection and a unique field for matching records in each mapped entity.
Frequently asked questions
Which Hexnode records can I import?
Devices, device groups, users, user groups, and policies. Available device information includes identifiers, operating system details, enrollment, status, and compliance fields.
Is the Hexnode integration bidirectional?
No. Data moves from Hexnode to Asset Panda Pro only. Changes made in Asset Panda Pro are not sent back to Hexnode.
Can I sync Hexnode devices automatically?
Yes. You can schedule imports through an Asset Panda Pro automation or use Run now to sync manually. The integration is not described as real-time.
How does the integration handle existing records?
If a unique identifier matches an existing record, Asset Panda Pro updates it. Otherwise, a new record is created. Accurate matching depends on correctly mapped unique fields.
What happens if a device is removed from Hexnode?
The corresponding record in Asset Panda Pro remains unchanged. Deletion in Hexnode does not automatically remove the imported record.
How do I troubleshoot a failed sync?
Check your Hexnode Portal URL and API key, review field mappings and filters, and use Automation Logs to inspect sync status and errors.
